Bringing People to Tears
I sang in a choir this past week in my church. We are about 12 people, and I am 30% of the bass section. When we sing, we have to sing loud. I had a solo that had me singing higher than I was comfortable with. If I’m going to hit these notes, I have to take a deep breath and give it everything I have. It feels great when I hit those notes.
We have a young female who is all of 5’ 2” and has a voice that is twice the size of her stature. I love hearing her sing. I’ve watched her grow up, and I’m so proud of her. Later, after the concert, we were getting caught up, and an older woman came up to her and choked on tears as she attempted to tell her how much she appreciated her song.
My young friend was having fun. She was looking at the notes on her page and doing her best to get the notes out of her mouth. She had no idea.
I was recording a future episode of Podcast Hot Seat and Ernie from Married Into Crazy explained how he was ready to quit when someone from South Africa had found the show and it helped save the listener’s marriage.

The Breakfast Club Reunion
Yes all five stars got together to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the movie, ‘The Breakfast Club.” The part I liked is they asked about what they would change from the 80’s to now. Molly Ringwald said she’s like to leave cell phones. She expressed how her kids might learn a lot more and see a lot more.” It’s hard to remember a life before social media. Check it out. If you’ve never seen the movie, here it is.
