Two Quick Things
Free Exposure - and Cheap Advice
Howdy,
Just a quick note. If you’re new to the School of Podcasting show, at the end of the month I ask my audience a question which I have creatively named, “The Question of the Month.” This month’s deadline is tomorrow, so if you want your show in front of 1000+ people take two minutes to answer the following question:
This may be the question that I get no response as it takes some thought. I’m going to leave it open (rather than “lead the witness”).
How do you measure your podcast success that is not downloads.
I need your answer by June 26th. Don’t forget to tell us a little bit about your show.
So it might be “This is (your name) from (name of show) at (website url) where we (tagline of show). The measurement I use that is not downloads is _______ and why...

For those that remember the Podcast Rodeo show (a test show that wasn’t supposed to be real cause the name was stupid), and later Podcast Hot Seat (a name that sounded too painful) I give you the revamped (again) show: “Fix My Podcast.” I’ve also split the show enabling me to lower the price (you can have just your episode, or both the episode and website).
So if you’re show isn’t growing the way you’d like, you might be missing something right in front of you. The process is you give me an episode to listen to and we get together to talk about how the episode aligns with your goals, and what I was was amazing, and anything that might need some polish.
Here is the trailer:
So many people I talk to say, “I need to grow my show” followed by “But the content is good.” I once had a typo in the name of the School of Podcasting (montize…) so we are often too close.
